Town of Danville joins the California Main Street network

California Main Street is proud to welcome the Town of Danville as its newest affiliate community.

Located in Contra Costa County, this East Bay downtown has a charming, “small-town” feel with historic buildings, tree-lined streets, brick sidewalks, and vintage streetlamps. The city supports its downtown through a Master Plan that has enabled investments in public amenities (signage, lighting, pocket parks) and hosts regular events like a farmers’ market, seasonal concerts, and movie nights.

Danville’s designation reflects a strong commitment to strengthening its downtown, supporting small businesses, and preserving the historic character that makes the community unique. By joining the California Main Street network and aligning with Main Street America, Danville becomes part of a growing movement dedicated to place-based economic development across the state and nation.

As a member of the network, Danville will gain access to training, technical assistance, and a collaborative statewide community of practitioners working to strengthen commercial districts. These resources will support local efforts to enhance economic resilience, foster entrepreneurship, and create welcoming, thriving places for residents and visitors alike.

We are excited to partner with Danville as it begins its journey as a California Main Street community and look forward to supporting its continued success.

New Leadership in Vacaville

LeAnne White (Courtesy Downtown Vacaville)

After serving as Executive Director of Downtown Vacaville from December 2023 through June 2025, Leslie Silver has stepped down from the organization. During her tenure, she launched a year‑round Vacaville Farmers Market, promoted new public art throughout the district, and forged important partnerships to support downtown businesses. As the owner of School of Rock – Vacaville, Leslie continues to be deeply committed to the success of Downtown Vacaville.

We welcome LeAnne White as the new Executive Director, effective September 2025. LeAnne brings a strong background in municipal government and small business ownership, along with extensive experience in economic development and community initiatives.

Prior to joining Downtown Vacaville, LeAnne served as Economic Development Manager for the City of Marshall, Texas, where she led efforts in economic development, tourism, and community engagement. Her expertise and leadership will be invaluable as she guides Downtown Vacaville into its next chapter.

Please join us in giving a warm welcome to LeAnne!
