Two Main Street Leaders Join The CAMS Board of Directors

California Main Street is pleased to announce the election of two new leaders to our Board of Directors. They join a group of dedicated leaders committed to advancing the vitality of commercial districts and supporting local economies across the state.

Our Board plays a critical role in guiding the organization’s vision and ensuring that our work continues to reflect the needs of California’s diverse Main Street communities. Representing a wide range of expertise—from economic development and small business support to public policy and community revitalization—these leaders bring valuable insight and experience to the organization.

As California Main Street continues to grow, the Board will help shape strategic priorities, strengthen partnerships, and expand resources that empower local communities to thrive. Their leadership will support ongoing efforts to promote place-based economic development, preserve historic assets, and champion the success of small businesses throughout California.

Angie Leonard
Chief Executive Officer, MainStreet Oceanside

Angie Leonard serves as Chief Executive Officer of MainStreet Oceanside, where she leads efforts to support local businesses, strengthen community partnerships, and enhance the vitality of downtown Oceanside, California. A longtime Oceanside resident, Leonard brings more than 20 years of executive management experience, with a strong background in financial management and organizational leadership.

Prior to her appointment as CEO, Leonard served as Chief Financial Officer and later Interim CEO, providing steady leadership and continuity during a period of organizational transition. She is known for her collaborative approach and commitment to ensuring the organization remains a strong resource for the local business community.

Sarah Baird
Executive Director, Downtown Martinez & Co.

Sarah Baird serves as Executive Director of Downtown Martinez & Co. in Martinez, California, where she leads efforts to promote economic vitality, support small businesses, and enhance the historic downtown district. With a background in marketing, communications, and community engagement, Baird brings a strategic and creative approach to downtown revitalization.

In her role, she oversees programming, events, and partnerships that highlight Martinez’s unique character and foster a vibrant, welcoming environment for residents and visitors alike. Baird is passionate about building strong relationships between businesses, local government, and the community to support long-term economic success.
